Planetary Witchcraft: Overview, Part Two

I discussed the year-long overview of the Planetary Witchcraft experiment in Part One of this post. Here's a more concise version of our year-long vision:

Yule-Imbolc: Sun

Imbolc-Ostara: Jupiter

Ostara-Beltane: Mercury

Beltane-Midsummer: Venus

Midsummer-Lammas: Mars

Lammas-Mabon: Moon

Mabon-Samhaim: Saturn

Samhain-Yule: Earth

(I admittedly am experiencing a bit of trepidation about attempting to commit to year-long project that  involves being consistent, and following through on things, and generally behaving like a grownup, because those are not among my strengths. But that resistance is one of the reasons we began at Yule, instead of January 1, a date that is so riddled with false optimism and ill-fated beginnings that it's a wonder time itself doesn't stop by January 5th each year.)

In addition to that Sabbat-to-Sabbat overview, we've also outlined a rough weekly schedule that may evolve, but for now looks like this:

Week 1: Traditional/established invocations (Orphic Hymns, Picatrix, etc.)

Week 2: Deity research and communion

Week 3: Visionary work

Week 4: Drafts and experiments

Week 5: Drafts and experiments

Week 6: Rest, research, reset for the next planet.

We're currently (allegedly) at the tail end of Week 2 for the Sun, but I am not sure Week 2 has really...happened.

(IT'S THE DAMN 'HOLIDAYS', she screams into the void. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?!)

I am also behind on my blogging schedule, but writing is an important part of this project, so there will be more posts! Really! I am going to do the thing!

(OK, player, responds the void.)
